CSW Center and its associates cover a wide range of disciplines and specializations that include child and adolescent treatment, individualized trauma focused treatment, family therapy, criminal and civil forensic evaluations, general psychological testing, preemployment and promotion testing, and specialized psychological assessment such as Fitness for Duty Evaluations.
Brian Brentlinger, LPCC-S, NCC
Mental Health Counselor
Brian Brentlinger is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with over 20 years of experience supporting teens, families, and individuals through person-centered, trauma-informed care.
Brian’s background includes extensive work within the Kentucky public school system, where he provided counseling, assessments, and crisis support to students and educators. He also brings a unique focus to his work with first responders and their families, offering care that acknowledges the high-stress environments they face. This includes supporting first responder teens and children as they navigate anxiety, trauma, and family dynamics.
He offers clinical assessments/reports for:
-Substance use and recovery readiness
-Parenting and family functioning
-Emotional support animal (ESA) needs
-Risk evaluations for adolescents and teens
Brian integrates multiple evidence-based therapeutic approaches in his work:
-Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
-Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) – Master Practitioner
-Motivational Interviewing (MI)
-Person-Centered Therapy
Brian’s practice is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and practical support. Whether working with individuals, first responder families, or youth in crisis, his goal is to create a safe space for healing, growth, and resilience.
Dawn Glowatz
Nurse Practitioner
Dawn is a dedicated psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 14 years of experience. Her treatment philosophy is simple: “Meet the client where they are without judgment and develop a therapeutic partnership.” She offers holistic psychiatric assessments, accurate diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans, including psychotropic medication and psychotherapeutic interventions. As the wife of a retired firefighter, Dawn specializes in treating the unique mental health concerns of first responders and their families. She also has expertise in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, providing care for women’s mental health throughout their lifespans. Additionally, Dawn is a fellowship trainee in functional and integrative psychiatry, incorporating traditional methods with complementary therapies to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Dawn believes in the power of individualized care, focusing on each client’s strengths and weaknesses to achieve the best mental health outcomes. Her goal is to assist clients on their journey towards mental wellness, empowering them to live the lives they are meant to live.
Jim Petry, M.S. LPC
Mental Health Counselor
Jim spent the past 35 years in public safety as a Firefighter Paramedic. He started the Peer Support Team in his department and helped build the Tristate Peer Support Team in Ohio. He works alongside his clients to improve their mental health and quality of life. As a clinician, his role is to assist people in recognizing and strengthening their coping skills, support systems, self-value, and ability to affect positive changes surrounding their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and emotions through therapy. Through a person-centered therapeutic relationship and a trauma informed approach he works to build positive personal awareness and assist first responders and their families in positive post traumatic growth (PTG).
Therapies Utilized: CBT Trained, CPT Trained, DBT Trained, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (Certified at Basic Level).
Allason Leek
M.S. LPA
Allason is from a law enforcement family and now specializes in trauma focused treatment with veterans, first responders and the general population utilizing EMDR and CBT. She also provides a variety of psychological assessments including ADHD, substance abuse, pre-employment and general psychological assessments.
She started as an intern in 2023 and was brought on fulltime after graduating in 2024 with her Masters in Clinical Psychology.
Mike Reeser, Ph.D.
Psychologist
Dr. Reeser has a military and law enforcement background and now specializes in trauma focused treatment with veteran and first responder populations. He also works in the forensic setting and provides a variety of psychological assessments services.
Samantha Reeser, Psy.D.
Psychologist
Dr. Samantha Reeser has an extensive first responder background and served as a law enforcement officer. She now specialized in trauma focused treatment for LEOs and their spouses. She also works in the forensic setting and provides a variety of psychological assessment services.
Becky Whaley
Office Consultant
Becky has transitioned to an office consultant and will be able to answer any questions about services offered, provider availability, and pricing/insurance when she is available in the office.
Alexa Canup
Office Manager
Alexa is the hub of CSW Center operations and will be able to answer any questions about services offered, provider availability, and pricing/insurance. Alexa came to us from Thomas More University where she studied psychology and criminal justice. She is now the new face and voice of the front office. If you call or check in at the office, Alexa will help with any scheduling, intakes, or general questions.
